Ruan Sisters: Traditional Instrument Performance

strong Date: /strong Saturday, September 12, 2026 br/ strong Time: /strong 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM br/ strong Location: /strong Lobby br/ <p Stop by the <a href="http://roundrocktexas.gov/library" Round Rock Public Library</a  to hear the striking tones and melodies of the ancient Ruan, a lute/guitar-like instrument. Sisters Claire Zhang and Cleo Wang will perform traditional Chinese folk pieces for our 1<sup st</sup  floor patrons, under our monumental staircase!</p <p <strong About the Ruan Sisters</strong </p <p Ruan is a traditional Asian instrument since the Qin Dynasty, with almost 3000 years of history. Claire Zhang, a 6th grader at Steiner Ranch Elementary School, started to learn Ruan when she was 7, and Cleo Wang, a 10th grader at Vandegrift High School, started to learn Ruan when she was 10. Our passion for music has inspired us to share our expertise and love for this ancient instrument.</p <p Beyond our personal pursuits, we are strong advocates for musical education. We believe that every note played and every melody created contributes to a richer, more harmonious world.</p
