DescriptionOriental Medicine Associates opened in 2008 with founder Kathy Kerr recognizing a gap in care for active seniors and baby boomers in Georgetown. The practice now includes four licensed acupuncture practitioners: Kathy Kerr, Julie Carr Benedict, Dr. Eric Chen, and Dr. David Weinthal. All hold Masters degrees in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, are licensed by the Texas State Board of Medical Examiners, and are nationally certified through the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. Services include acupuncture, Asian bodywork therapy (Tuina), Chinese herbal medicine, and nutritional consulting, treating pain, digestive issues, stress, neurological conditions, gynecological concerns, and many other conditions. They also offer acupuncture beauty treatments, sports injury care, and personal injury treatment. Oriental Medicine Associates is a Veterans Administration community care provider. All treatments use sterile, disposable needles and are by appointment only.
