About The Club at Berry Creek

The Club at Berry Creek is a premier private country club founded in 1986 in Georgetown's Hill Country foothills. Built on the historic Logan Ranch, the club sits on 1,100 acres of scenic Texas landscape and features an 18-hole championship golf course designed by noted architect Carl Doering, a Georgetown resident. The club serves as a true family club with many second-generation members who bring their own children to experience the same traditions. Beyond golf, The Club offers tennis courts, a racquet club, pickleball, a Junior Olympic-style swimming pool, a fitness studio, and a grand clubhouse with dining facilities. The iconic par-3 8th hole, built around a former quarry, was documented in the Dallas newspaper as one of the two most unique holes at Texas golf clubs. Managed by Encore Leisure Group, the club maintains an active community of member associations, including Men's Golf Association, Ladies Golf Association (18-hole and 9-hole), and LEGS (Ladies Evening Golf Social). The club hosts tournaments, outings, member events, and is available for corporate events and weddings.

Questions people ask

What is the history of The Club at Berry Creek?

The Club at Berry Creek was founded in 1986 on the historic Logan Ranch, where the Logan family grazed cattle and sheep for two generations. Developer Robert Dawana Stanton designed the neighborhood and golf course, incorporating unique landscape features including a former quarry that now forms the distinctive par-3 8th hole. Professional golfer Tom Kite played in the inaugural round with charter members Ken Hunt and Jim Caskey, who remain active members.

Why is hole #8 so unique?

The par-3 8th hole was built around a historic quarry that was dug for rock used in Interstate Highway 35 construction. During excavation, a cave and spring were discovered. The quarry provides a dramatic viewpoint for both players and diners in the clubhouse, and the hole was documented in the Dallas newspaper as one of the two most unique holes at Texas golf clubs.
