Goodfolks serves Southern comfort food with a touch of Cajun influence from a building on Georgetown's downtown square, a space regulars say has hosted a handful of different restaurants over the years. The kitchen runs fast-casual, and the restaurant leans into small-town hospitality even as it grows, aiming to give every guest an order to fuss over and a reason to feel at home.

The menu runs from starters like Cajun Brussels sprouts and pretzel bites with beer cheese to sandwiches such as the Nashville hot chicken sandwich, the Georgetown cheesesteak, and a smash burger made with 44 Farms Angus beef. Chicken tenders and baskets come with sides like collard greens, andouille red beans and rice, and homestyle mac and cheese, and the entree list includes braised beef shoulder, blackened or fried catfish, and chicken fried steak with white gravy. Brunch runs Saturday and Sunday mornings from 9am to 2:45pm, with dishes like shrimp grits and banana pecan French toast. A full bar pours spritzes and cocktails such as the Blackberry Bramble and the Passion Fruit Mule.

Happy hour runs most afternoons with discounts on Un-Originals, draft beer, and house wine, and Goodfolks hosts private parties and caters birthdays, holidays, and corporate events. A dollar from every order of the crispy Brussels sprouts goes to the Williamson County Animal Shelter. The restaurant also sells gift cards and takes reservations through OpenTable.
