About Tony & Luigi's

Tony & Luigi's has served Italian and Mediterranean food from its spot off the square in downtown Georgetown since 2008, when Frank and Nezira Zulcic opened the restaurant. Their daughter, Zana Zulcic-Capelj, still works there as general manager alongside her husband, Damir Capelj. Jamie Cohen, previously the chief operating officer at Kerbey Lane Cafe, bought the restaurant from the Zulcics in January 2022 and has kept the food and culture the same, while adding more Italian wines and a lunch menu built around Italian subs.

The kitchen makes everything from scratch, rolling out fresh bread 15 times a day and making sauces daily. The menu runs from Italian subs and pizza to a full pasta bar, chicken and veal entrees, and seafood like grilled salmon and lobster ravioli, backed by a full bar with signature cocktails and a wine list that runs from Texas Sangiovese to Barolo. Live music plays every Tuesday and Thursday evening.

Reservations are recommended and only taken by phone; the restaurant doesn't hold names by phone message or email. On Friday, Saturday, and holiday nights, tables for six or fewer are asked to keep it to 1.5 hours between 5 and 8pm. Birthday celebrants get a free cannoli, and outside cakes are welcome for a $1.50-per-person fee. The restaurant caters events with pickup, delivery, and custom menu options, and partners with Lily Grace Catering Event Services for full-service private events.
