Built in 1904 by German immigrant craftsman George Kuempel, this Victorian home has remained in the family for generations as a symbol of craftsmanship and hospitality. The property earned the 100-Year Land Heritage Farm Award and was placed on the Texas State Historical Marker in 1986. Current owner Debby, George's granddaughter, completed a comprehensive restoration in 2013, uncovering hidden architectural treasures while honoring the home's original character.

Today, The Kuempel Haus and its companion Krueger Hall (a 1,200-square-foot addition inspired by George's architectural style) welcome celebrations, family gatherings, corporate events, and intimate retreats. The main hall accommodates 64 guests with round tables, with additional capacity in the reception area and expansive outdoor spaces including the Winnie Mae Gazebo and surrounding patios.

The venue has served as a filming location for classic films including The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas, Hard Promises, Children of the Corn IV, and Elvis and Annabelle. Open vendor policy, full kitchen access, and curated event spaces make it a setting for weddings, showers, reunions, workshops, and special occasions where history and hospitality intertwine.
