DescriptionSnappy Snacks Mobile Catering operates the region's largest full-service commissary on a 10-acre complex just north of Austin. Founded in 1997 by Tom Ramsey, the business has grown from a single food truck and 2,500-square-foot warehouse in Hutto to a comprehensive food truck support hub hosting over 70 mobile catering vehicles. The complex includes four full-service commissary kitchens, a state-of-the-art 16-bay wash facility, a 2,500-square-foot mechanic shop, and La Placita Supermarket, a 16,000-square-foot warehouse open to both operators and the public with a meat market, produce, and full grocery inventory. Snappy Snacks provides everything independent food truck operators need to comply with health codes and launch successful businesses: 24/7 member access to secure gated parking, electrical charging stations, propane, ice, potable water, cold and dry storage, pest control, and garbage disposal. The facility also offers food and beverage wholesale access through major suppliers, custom truck builds and fabrication, and catering support. A 7,000-square-foot outdoor music plaza and food court on the complex can accommodate up to ten trucks for launch events and private catering.
