About Wish Well House

Wish Well House is a one-of-a-kind wedding and event venue in downtown Georgetown that blends historic character with modern sophistication. Built in 1920 as an 8-room home, the building later became Georgetown's first hotel, The Texas Hotel, before its current transformation into an elegant event space. The venue features high ceilings, exposed beams, original hardwood floors, abundant natural light from two stories of windows, private bridal and groom prep suites upstairs, and an expansive outdoor courtyard. The main hall accommodates up to 260 guests for receptions, ceremonies, or cocktails. Located on South Main Street near Georgetown's vibrant downtown square with shops and restaurants nearby, Wish Well House is positioned 20 miles north of Austin-offering urban sophistication without city traffic. Founded by Katy (previously of the Austin-based Union on Eighth venue) and Justin, the venue specializes in full wedding packages, rehearsal dinners, and private events. The team brings years of wedding industry experience, with events coordinator Maggie managing the details of each celebration.
